Rachel has a very warm & open style so we always felt comfortable asking questions. We both learned a lot and felt more positive and confident with our choice to have a natural childbirth. She is very matter of fact, no fluff or woo-woo! We both liked that it was very real, educational and gave us enough info without feeling overwhelmed. We had regular reminders that we are empowered to make choices around our own birthing experience and that it is so sacred and special and about US! Mary & Dennis, Annie born 11/3/06 Rachel’s class was an invaluable tool for us during the birth of our daughter and in the weeks leading up to it. Our baby was transverse for the last couple of months of my pregnancy and I had gestational diabetes. There was so much talk of intervention, accompanied by mounds of stress for us. We used the materials from Rachel’s class to keep ourselves focused on the birth experience we were determined to have and to prepare ourselves for everything else. Rachel has created a class with such a useful combination of HypnoBirthing, practical information, yoga and role-playing. All of which helped me to feel very confident in my ability to give birth and to trust my body and my baby to know what to do. When labor began, we felt so prepared for our baby’s arrival and everything to come in the hours leading up to it. The baby was in the perfect position. Our practice and preparation paid off. We were so very blessed with a smooth labor and delivery and I truly believe that our experience in Rachel’s class played a very important role. The birth of our daughter was everything we had hoped for and so much more. It was peaceful, magical, miraculous. We will be forever grateful to Rachel for her support, her knowledge, her humor and her wonderful spirit. The very best part of Rachel’s class is Rachel!
