If you provide birth support to any woman who chooses HypnoBirthing (HB) as her primary method of childbirth education, this class will give you the information and practice that you need to guide her within the context of the HypnoBirthing Method. This class is appropriate for any birth professional, regardless of the length of time you have been practicing.

*HypnoBirthing is a method of childbirth preparation that teaches women and their birth partners techniques of hypnosis, relaxation, visualization, and breathing in order to have a safer, calmer, and more positive birthing experience. This preparation promotes a deeper connection between partners, a joyful anticipation of bringing your baby into the world, and a commitment to focusing on birth as normal, natural and safe.

In this class you'll learn:

  • What is HB? What is Hypnosis? How does it work? What are the benefits?
  • What parents are being taught in their HB classes
  • Why parents come to believe that they can have a relaxed, manageable birth
  • To speak the same language as your clients
  • Special suggestions and guidance you can provide during labor that will support her
  • How to talk with medical care providers about HB
