 Rachel provides physical, emotional, and informational support to families who desire a low or no intervention birth either at home* or in a hospital. Because you are more likely to have a positive birthing experience if you know and trust your support team, Rachel requires that first time parents take Childbirth Education classes with her. Second time parents, see below**.

After an initial interview, services include:

  • Either: One 2-hour private prenatal home visit and four 3-hour group Childbirth Education, HypnoBirthing, and Partner Yoga Classes taught at Rachel’s home. Classes are offered every other month.
  • Or: Four 2-hour private prenatal visits that include Childbirth Education and HypnoBirthing. Visits are split between your home and Rachel’s home.
  • One "birth team" meeting if you are birthing at home.
  • Birth Photography
  • One 1-hour post-partum home visit.
  • 24 hour on-call services from 2 weeks before your due date until after your baby is born.
  • Early labor support by phone and in your home when you need assistance.
  • Transportation to the hospital during labor.

    *A significant sliding scale is available to families planning a home birth.
    **The only difference in the services described above is that I offer one 2-hour prenatal home visit and one 2-hour childbirth refresher class taught at my house. Fees vary depending on where you are having your baby, and whether this is your first child. Contact Rachel for details.
